Position: Assistant Pastor

Brief Description:

Our church is seeking a candidate with a strong theological foundation, exceptional communication skills, and demonstrate a commitment to serve our church and community. 

 

Qualifications:

• Licensure and ordination within the Baptist faith.

• A minimum of (3) three years of relevant ministry experience. 

• Effective biblical leadership, and communication skills. 

• A fervent passion for ministry and community outreach.

 

Responsibilities:

• The Assistant Pastor shall be responsible to the Pastor to provide administrative leadership for the total church ministry.

• Willingly receive and carry out directives from the Pastor.

• Preach in the absence of the Pastor or at the Pastor’s request.

• Assist the Pastor in the teaching ministry.

• Assist in ministering the Ordinances of the church.

• Participate in public worship services as requested.

• Oversee all ministries Except:

• Deacons / Trustees / Children & Youth Ministries.

  • Collaborate fully with all church staff for the total good of the church.

  • Assist Pastor in worship planning.

  • Assist in New Member’s Orientation.

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Pastor.
